HI, I'M MAVI
My name is Maria Vittoria De Rosa, but many know me as Mavi. I am the founder of GI.
My passion for jewelry and accessories dates back a long way, to when I was a little girl. I never considered them mere details, but a way to express personality, character, and femininity.
For me, every shape, every line, and every material tells a story.
It is from this vision that GI was born.
HOW IT ALL BEGAN
FROM A LIGHT IDEA TO SOMETHING REAL
GI came to life during the pandemic, within the walls of a room and through a chat with my best friends.
At first, it was almost like a game. A page, an idea born spontaneously, without really knowing where it would lead.
But inside me, I felt it could become something more.
Day after day, that little idea began to grow. With determination, instinct, and a lot of heart, GI became a concrete reality.
And as the brand grew, so did a community of people who began to see themselves in my way of viewing and experiencing jewelry.
I realized then that GI was no longer just my dream.
It had become something to share.
THE NAME
GI IS BORN FROM THE PUREST LOVE
The name GI is dedicated to Ginevra, the purest love of my life.
She taught me what it means to love unconditionally: an authentic, quiet, yet immense love.
This is precisely the feeling I carry within GI.
Authenticity. Emotion. Truth.
Because behind a name there can be much more than a brand.
There can be a part of you.
